Our goal is to empower our students to become lifelong learners and responsible global citizens.
At be yourself, we understand that every student is unique. Our personalised learning approach allows young people to thrive in an environment tailored to their individual needs. By focusing on their interests and passions, we help students develop a love for learning that lasts a lifetime.
be yourself is a place to learn- but in a way that the student feels empowering and interesting. We foster a culture of safety, respect, empathy, and inclusivity, where every student feels valued and supported. We believe that connecting with the local community is key and work to provide opportunities for students to connect with local businesses relevant to their interests.
Our alternative school provides a unique learning environment for students who want to explore their interests and passions while receiving a well rounded education. We focus on personalised learning, health and wellbeing, hands-on experiences, and community involvement to help students thrive.
be yourself is dedicated to helping students succeed in all areas of their lives. Our students will gather the skills and knowledge they need to succeed at their own pace.
Our approach is person- led and we will aim to spark a love and interest in learning, whilst getting to know each young person and developing a trusting relationship. We will then involve the young people in designing their learning, whilst using our professional experience and intuition to weave learning into the activities.
We aim to help students explore their interests and develop relevant skills. We also encourage participation in holistic, physical activities such as yoga to help young people learn how to self regulate, manage big emotions and feel good.
Our practitioners are passionate about working with young people and dedicated to helping students succeed. They are highly skilled at providing a safe space and all understand how to build a trusting rapport with a range of young people. Most importantly our practitioners are patient and kind and enjoy the process of helping a young person flourish. Our practitioners have extensive experience in their fields, they are well traveled and very resourceful with local connections to provide young people with an experience that will excite and spark joy.
All Staff are DBS checked and safeguarding and first aid trained.
We offer two packages to meet the needs of students:
Full day 9:30-2:30 (including lunch) £295
(Maximum 2 days per week)
Full day with a therapy session included (including lunch) £365
(Maximum 2 days per week)
Therapy sessions take place in one of our two cozy therapy rooms which we affectionately call the Little Snug and Big Snug. We offer Yoga therapy, sensory regulation and other creative child-led approaches. We believe that most children who come to be yourself may need that personalised 1:1 therapy session to work through any particular challenges they are experiencing in their life.
We know that if people are unregulated they will find learning difficult therefore if they have focused time with a trained therapeutic practitioner they will be in a better place to learn and a more positive mindset.
